CONFERENCES
From 1981 to 2019, Sariling Gawa’s signature event was the annual youth leadership conference, usually held during Spring Break at the YMCA Camp Harold Erdman in Mokuleia, Waialua, Oahu. Most of these conferences were held over 3 days and 2 nights. During some years, the conferences were held over 4 days and 3 nights.
In 2011, Sariling Gawa received funding to host mini-conferences on Hawai’i Island, Maui, and Kauai.
In 2020, the planned conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It would’ve been our 40th milestone.
No conferences were held in 2021 and 2022.
Since 2023, Sariling Gawa has held one-day conferences on Oahu, Hawai’i Island, and Kauai.
